Timeshares as Alternative Accommodations
If you're a frequent traveler and are looking for the best accommodations, maybe it's time to buy timeshare for yourself. Unlike days past, today's timeshares are flexible and exchangeable so that you can look forward to welcoming accommodations nearly everywhere you'd like to travel. For the habitual traveler, they're a good way to get great accommodations every time.
Mallorca is the largest of Spain’s islands, situated in the crystal clear Mediterranean Sea, and part of the Balearic Islands Archipelago. Villa holidays in Mallorca are very popular, with people opting for privacy and luxury, whilst making the most of the sun and sea in the fabulous Mediterranean climate. Holidaymakers are given a wide selection of Mallorca villa rentals, and the villas are expertly positioned to afford the best views and convenience of location.
You can spend countless hours enjoying the privacy of your pool at your Mallorca villa, where you can catch a tan before heading down to the populated beach. And when you want to wash off the salt and sand after your day on the beach, returning to your luxury villa in Mallorca for another dip in the pool and a shower before dinner, will make the perfect end to a sunny day.
Inland Activities
While lying on a golden beach in the Mediterranean can’t really be beaten, you might want a few days of activity while on your villa holiday in Mallorca. And after all, returning to your luxury villa each night will certainly be relaxing.
Mallorca has two mountainous regions, both great for hiking. The highest peak on the island, Puig Major (1,445m) is situated in a military area and so is inaccessible to the public, but its neighbour, Puig de Massarella (1,365), is not much lower and offers a great walk. Both peaks are part of the Serra de Tramuntana range, and afford fantastic views and an active day out. After a day of hiking on this beautiful island, return to your luxury Mallorca villa and cool off in your pool as the sun sets over the Mediterranean Sea.
A Trip to a Castle
A bit of sightseeing is essential on your villa holiday. Mallorca has a number of great attractions just waiting to be explored, and you can intersperse days spent lying in the sun with visiting the main sites on the island. Bellver Castle is one of the top tourist attractions, and makes for some interesting sightseeing.
This castle is interesting in both design and history, making it one of the island’s must see sights. It is circular in design, sitting atop a hill near Palma de Mallorca. Built in the 14th century for King James II of Aragon, the castle has a distinctly medieval feel. Its history is fascinating, and a tour of the castle is definitely worthwhile. Used as a prison during the civil war, the stories told by tour leaders are interesting, with famous prisoners such as intellectual and writer, Gaspar Melchor de Jovellanos, being of particular interest. And what’s best is that after an exciting day out, you have your luxury Mallorca villa to return to.
La Seu Cathedral
The La Seu Cathedral is situated in Palma de Mallorca, overlooking the Parc de la Mar and Mediterranean Sea. This gothic cathedral is a great sight to behold, and is well worth visiting when on a villa holiday in Mallorca. Built on the site of an existing mosque in 1229, this cathedral is steeped in history. Its design is Spanish ‘levantino’ Gothic, with distinct influences of the northern European style. The fascinating history and architecture, coupled with the views over the Parc and Mediterranean Sea, make this an exceptional place to visit.
