Mexico’s Taco stands are as popular as the classy coffee shops in the US. Taco stalls and vendors have their own aura which carries much excitement in Puerto Vallarta. It is a local fast food, which can not be missed if you are a visitor. Tacos are made out of corn and are wrapped around a filling. You will find a variety of fillings such as meat; fish, vegetable, cheese and soon you will discover your favorite flavor after trying a few. Tacos are freshly baked on the grill, so that they are just ready to be served. Some vendors even offer a variety of sauces and other garnishes so that your taco is just right according to your taste. Most taco stall owners don’t have proficiency in English; however you just have to learn how to say “taco” and “quesadilla.” And this cheap snack needs no bargaining so just visit the next vendor if you detect the aroma of tacos. You can visit any taco stall closest to your place or nearest to your route. Marisco’s Cisneros opens between 10 am to 5:30 pm and is closed on Tuesdays. Texcoco lies at the corner of Ecuador and is open between 8 am to 12 noon. Marisma Fish Taco is open between 9 am to 5 and Tacos de Flacos is the right place if you prefer to stay out in the evenings.

U.S has declared emergency as Swine Flu takes lead. San Diego is especially cautioned as flu in schools, offices and public places is creating panic. Health officials remain on high alert, foreseeing that the infection could spread more widely. 20 cases have been confirmed in California, 3 in Imperial County and some in Kansas, New York, Ohio, Texas and now it has been detected in Canada too. There has been fear of Swine Flu in Puerto Vallarta too. A physician confirms that there are no confirmed cases of the disease however residents can still take precautionary measures by taking more of Vitamin A, D and B supplements and by drinking more water. A flu vaccine will do no good at this time, because three weeks later the body will show a lower immune system. Physicians advise residents to stay away from crowded areas and wash hands as much as possible.

Traveling to Mexico has not been banned because of the emergency declared. However, precautions must be taken by visitors too to avoid the common flu. Tourists should avoid visiting congested places and meeting with sick people. Visit Villa del Palmar Flamingos, a new resort that lies in Nuevo Vallarta. It’s the place to enjoy with family and even friends. Nestle under huge beach umbrellas or laze around with big margarita glasses. Indulge in the scenic beauty that will be sufficient to make a vacation perfect.
