The country is indeed another extraordinary place to be. The capital of the archipelago is Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. It is a place with spirit, welcoming tourists for there vibrancy and delicious cuisines. In addition, La Casa de Colon together with Museo Canario will amuse you with its historical artifacts and treasures. With its bountiful natural beauties, an experience with the islands will never be boredom.
Upon your stay in the island, take the opportunity to know the original inhabitants of the islands called, Guanches. Most of the museums offer information about these inhabitants, the early Canarians. Several caves that have Guanchian paintings on there walls and archeological sites will provide you a direct and evident proof of their existence. Their influences have spread all over the islands’ modern inhabitants.
Fuerteventura is the home of the oldest settlements and beaches in Gran Canaria. This is also a place for fishing. Due to numerous violent volcanic eruptions that happened centuries ago, Lanzarote has the most eye catching deviant scenery. While Hierro on the other hand, homes tourists to a more quiet yet accommodating place with natural splendor.
Be sure to never miss the local cuisines and specialties. Have a taste with their Mojo, their specialty sauce made with garlic and chili peppers. In reality, every restaurants in Gran Canaria have their own way of specialty so be sure to taste some of them so that you stay will be worthwhile. They also have their homemade bread, seafood galore, local wine that would surely satisfy your sense of taste.
